Background

Ralph Thieme was raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, he attended the Oriental Medicine Institute of Hawaii and became a licensed Acupuncturist. Later, after coming to Maine, he graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and specialized in Osteopathic Manipulation.

Medical specialization

Dr Thieme’s approach to treatment involves acupuncture or osteopathic manipulation in conjunction with teaching restorative exercises, postural re-education, and ergonomic counseling. He has spent over 35 years developing his integrative philosophy and techniques to best care for his patients.
